the more I read news reports on Labour politics the more I realise how utterly mendacious the UK press is. it's a genuine national embarrassment. Any gain by the left is now treated only as an outrage to Jews. The fact that many of those elected ARE Jewish is never mentioned.

Momentum is now regularly treated as if it were some anti-semitic organization. No one ever seems to see fit to mention it was founded by John Lansman and James Schneider, both of whom happen to be Jewish.

what has become abundantly clear is this "scandal" has nothing to do with Anti-Semitism. It is about opposition to internal democracy. It's a desperate gambit by Blairites who until now dominated the party despite being mostly loathed by the membership to stop internal reforms...

... reforms which will inevitably lead to them either having to be accountable to their CLPs, or being ousted entirely. Until 2017 they could say "it doesn't matter if party membership hates us, we're electable." Now they can't even say that. They have no positive argument left.
