The kids have been watching a show called “The Rocketeer.” The mom on the show is Lebanese, and was showing her daughter a picture of her mother. My crew lost their ever-loving minds at how much she looked like their Teta (who is Lebanese, as well)! Representation matters.

CSL made a distinction between vanity (worth in acceptance) and pride (indifference to thoughts of others). This group has vanity with the world and pride in the church. @JustinEGiboney said, “They’re Sampson in the church but wouldn’t squish a grape with their social peers.”

Pastoring in the mountains comes with unique challenges. With two feet of snow already on the ground, we got another 40” Thursday. We had to dig one widow out yesterday. Now, our elders are discussing how to ski diesel and supplies to another widow who’s snowed in off grid.
