@RBI SBI is forcing me to take a insurance for opening a new savings account. Today I go to my nearest sbi branch (IFSC code-SBIN0015131)to open my new savings account ,after complition of all processes I have been forced to take insurance policy. pl. respond.@TheOfficialSBI

@Arjunmaha007 @SBILife @BandBajaateRaho @jagograhakjago @GauravGoel_2008 @FinMinIndia Actually, the clerks of the bank ask for the OTP at the time of account opening when they activate the insurance without the customer's consent. @TheOfficialSBI should look after the matter seriously.

Don't know why the sbi bank is giving accidental health insurance to customer even when not required as the staff say's it is compulsory to take the insurance at the time of opening account @TheOfficialSBI

@TheOfficialSBI @RBI Today I went Jaitpur, Mahoba (Branch Code- 003543) for my brother's account opening, but they refused to open the account because we refused to take insurance of Rs 1000. Is there any rule to open an account in SBI that you have to take an insurance policy?

Dear SBI, Is this ethical to force a customer to purchase insurance (which is not mandatory) while opening an account? The branch manager and the service manager of SBI, Ramnagar Branch, WB(Branch code : 12454) forced me to purchase insurance while opening an account.

@TheOfficialSBI is it complousary to pay accidental insurance of rs 1300 while opening saving account in sbi? Kindly confirm. Cos of bank staff is saying it is complousary (branch sultanganj District- Bhagalpur ( bihar )

Electricity bill in Maha is going to give heartache to the people. We were paying the monthly bills (varying from 5 to 7k, which were sent without meter readings). Now, the bill has come to 38k, deducting the payments already made. Even a closed flat in our bldg got 11k bill.
