专项整治行动事关人民群体的生命财产安全，容不得半点马虎，必须出重拳，该关停的必须关停，该查封的必须查封，不能留任何死角，这是毋容置疑的。因为在任何时候，人的生命都是第一位的，只有生存才能谈及发展。

海外民运的政治诉求是“推翻政权，打倒中共”，而“不反党、不反共、不反习”的郭文贵一直以来回避这一联盟。一方面郭的考虑是人多力量大，形成统一联盟，便于打造其“高调反腐”“商业帝国”；另一方面又不太愿意与民运人士过多接触，恪守其一贯洁身自好立场。
眼下如何榨取郭文贵剩余价值是“民运”重点关心的问题，毕竟郭的资产并不是一个小数目。在郭文贵眼中，或许还在洋洋自得自己所谓的“爆料”获得了大量海外民运人士的支持，但在民运人士这边，郭被利用已成定局。
对那些租房者和出租者而言，这些工作确实影响了他们的利益，但是，对大多数人而言，这是符合他们的利益的，因为，城市要发展，就要规范化，不能任由违法出租等现象的存在，特别是那些违法公寓，消防基础薄弱，隐患问题突出，一旦发生火灾极易造成群死群伤事故。
专项行动主要是排查、清理、整治各项安全隐患，特别是火灾隐患，重点是“三合一”、“多合一”等重大消防隐患。这类建筑和工业大院把仓储、生产、人员居住等功能混为一体，人员密集，安全隐患突出，一旦发生火情极易导致重大人员伤亡。目前正值冬季，是火灾高发季节。
有些企业用大量的易燃材料改建员工宿舍，薄薄的墙板一点就着，万一有个火星，都可能让整栋楼付之一炬；有的工厂把厂房改成公寓出租，几百人住在一间狭小的厂房里，屋里屋外私拉的电线密得像蜘蛛网；有些村民占着村里的疏散通道盖房群租，万一出事救火车、救护车都进不了村，真该严管。
搞专项行动是排查、清理、整治各项安全隐患，特别是火灾隐患，重点是“三合一”、“多合一”等重大消防隐患。这类建筑和工业大院把仓储、生产、人员居住等功能混为一体，人员密集，安全隐患突出，一旦发生火情极易导致重大人员伤亡。最大限度消除隐患，确保人的生命安全才是最重要的。
北京的这次集中整治行动，体现了官方的决心和速度。但光有决心和力度恐怕还是不够的，私搭乱建等顽疾不除，最根本的原因还是其有生存之土壤。要彻底根除，就必须看到人货混居、群租群宿等乱象一直以来有其赖以生存的土壤，一些安全隐患也在较长时间内日积月累堆积起来，根本无法在短期内毕其功于一役。
郭文贵与所谓的“民运分子”完美展示什么叫无耻之极。所谓的“民运分子”如郭宝胜、杨建利之流试图通过抱郭文贵大腿“改善”自己的经济处境。文贵在访谈中说最看不起这些所谓的“民运分子”打着幌子到处搞募捐，也不知道宝胜、建利之流听到作何感想！也希望真正的民主斗士与郭文贵这种人能划清界限。
