@dktatlow True in other societies too, but yes, less obvious to outsiders in China
@dktatlow the core idea of why china is like that: any entity that size should be riddled with ambiguity and self-conflicts, or become menace to mankind & to itself. that's why US institutionalize conflicts. A china w/ 1 conviction always destroy itself (e.g. culture revolution)
@dktatlow @SophieHRW Public declaration or biaotai is very important in cn politics. Learn how to biaotai in correct time and under correct circumstances is critical to survive in cn political life. Even yr biaotai is fake or insincere, it doesn't matter. This is the saddest of cn politicians!
