WATCH: Among those arrested today were Noelle McAfee, Chair of the Philosophy Department at Emory University. I’ve asked for a comment from Emory on this arrest, no word yet. This video provided to us by an #Emory PHD student. You can hear him in this video. @ATLNewsFirst
@PatrickQuinnTV @ATLNewsFirst Arrest of academics is beyond reason.
@dorfman_p @PatrickQuinnTV @ATLNewsFirst Sounds like you've been huffing your own farts too much, you pompous charlatan.
@dorfman_p @PatrickQuinnTV @ATLNewsFirst No it's not. You're not special.
@dorfman_p @torstrick @PatrickQuinnTV @ATLNewsFirst what's so special about academics? why should they - or anyone else - be exempt from the treatment the rest of us receive? what's being done to everyone (in the 99%) is 'beyond reason.' we live in a police state now. what are we going to do about it?
@dorfman_p @PatrickQuinnTV @ATLNewsFirst A comment like that shows the disconnect between ideology and reality. Incredibly arrogant and divisive.
@dorfman_p @PatrickQuinnTV @ATLNewsFirst Arrest of every protester is beyond reason.
@dorfman_p @PatrickQuinnTV @ATLNewsFirst Doesn't that depend on what they are charged with doing? If some faculty member were to incite students to violence against a particular group, that would warrant arrest, I think. So, maybe better wait until we hear the charges.
@dorfman_p @PatrickQuinnTV @ATLNewsFirst arresting any non-violent citizen exercising his right of speech is beyond any reason.
