Fact: in 2016, Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by 2.9 million and came within 77,744 votes of winning the presidency. In 2020, Donald Trump lost the popular vote by 7.1 million and came within 65,009 votes of winning reelection.
I can't get enough of this. It really says everything. And says everything about the GOP that they are eager accomplices to this uniquely horrendous political freakshow.

Too much obsession over the death rate of covid-19 is dumb. If something is infectious & contagious enough, even a pretty small death rate will result in a massive # of deaths insanely rapidly. That's something the system can't handle and nobody wants.
Please forget "peaks" and trends and where we are "on the curve." Here's a fact: today is the FOURTH DAY IN A ROW when we will have nearly-9/11 levels of one-day deaths from #Covid_19 in the US.
Unsurprising. If you are watching Fox, you are hearing all about Glorious Leader’s heroic exploits, and if you are casually consuming mainstream outlets, you are seeing deranged behavior being hammered into relative normalcy by producers and editors.
I’ve been trying very hard to use our platform to communicate the facts and science of where we are in this pandemic. We do not want to stoke panic, because, again the *individual* risk remains low. Wash your hand. Have some canned food. BUT
