On 09 Aug 2025, BOP Kalyani, 5 BN BSF celebrated Raksha Bandhan with Sh. Rajendra Yadav, 2IC, officers & troops, joined by Dr. Biva Samadder, Lt, 2nd Bengal NCC, and 21 NCC cadets from Surendranath College, Kolkata—celebrating the bond of protection & brotherhood.
They guard our borders, we guard the bond. 🇮🇳 This Raksha Bandhan, NCC cadets of Surendranath College, 2 Bengal BN NCC travelled 160 km to Petrapole Border of India - Bangladesh to tie rakhis to BSF jawans. A salute to their sacrifice, duty & love for the Nation. 🫡🇮🇳

Lt. (Dr.) Biva Samadder, Associate NCC Officer, Surendranath College, 2 Bengal Bn NCC, has been conferred the Defence Secretary Commendation Card 2024 by the Ministry of Defence. She is the 1st lady NCC officer from West Bengal to receive this honor.
