Using an official government office to steer very lucrative gov't contracts to certain companies where you have a **VERY** hidden conflict of interest? Like, you're essentially paying yourself under the table when your cronies kick back your part of the contract to you? And when ya get CAUGHT doing that, you get in trouble and have to resign and then you're investigated? Where have I heard that before? Oh. OH. THAT'S RIGHT. Texas is always giving software contracts to their buddies who form completely unqualified software companies to recieve the money. A while back the State figured out that it could make a lot more tax money if they got the tabc licensing process down to Seven day as opposed to 3-6 months. Sales Force offered a complete solution which could be implemented in about 6 months built off existing platforms.. instead Texas chose a brand new software company that had never completed a project. Money got paid n the project never got done... its been about 5 years now...
