Extraordinary day on the bike. Up to nearly 2500m- about a mile and a half above sea level! Totally in awe of the landscape, the colours in the rock, the sheer scale of everything. Very humbling & rather overwhelming. Sat outside a café drinking a Coke and trying hard not to cry!

I’ve been watching the “Pog will win Giro why bother turning up” chorus with a wry smile. A year ago Remco “had the Giro won” on day one. My point? Sure Pog is the favourite but stuff can & will happen in all bike races. It’s why we keep coming back to watch it.

I am sorry about this. The legislation on acceptable forms of ID came out before the veterans ID cards started coming out in January this year. I will do all I can to change it before the next one.
"It's such a small thing, but it takes no effort at all..." For you that may be true, Adam. For me it often is not. And I know I'm not alone. When mental health demons are knocking loud, one does not always have the headspace for a "small thing" such as waving. And that's okay.

This is why I do not trust Labour with the environment. A shadow minister here campaigning and railing AGAINST cleaner air. Do people not deserve to breathe clean air? Darren seems to think drivers have a right to pollute the air everyone breathes for free
The Green Party in Bristol refused to rule out expanding the Clean Air Zone on @BBCRB today. What are the Green Party’s plans to extend the Clean Air Zone? Which areas will be included? I’ve written to @carla_denyer to ask. Voters deserve to know.
