Love this thread, I’ve had these exact thoughts. After medical school, a pandemic, and training (that is ongoing) things are starting to “settle down” and the thought of children sounds … scary? I do find comfort in knowing I’m not the only one whose thought a lot about it

All the awesome females in GI, what are your tips and tricks to holding the scope? I have small-er hands and have a hard time maneuvering the knobs. Really want to build a strong foundation but having a hard time finding female-specific resources 🙍‍♀️ #Gastroenterology #endoscope

I’ve done medical school, I did the MATCH x2 (residency & fellowship) and I did intern year during COVID… but planning a wedding - now THAT is hands down one of the most anxiety-inducing, unhinged things I got involved with 😫😤 #bridetobe2023 #weddingplanning

In undergrad I pursued Women Studies in hopes of learning more about the historical, social and economical journey my “foremothers” had faced. It was and is a true passion of mine, however sadly I lost the ability to dedicate time to it during medical school… (1/2)

1/When I started residency, I thought that one of the most important things was knowing every esoteric diagnosis. As a hospitalist, I am realizing the importance of doing "bread and butter" well. It is not glamorous, but it one of the best ways we can improve pts' lives.

It’s great to teach kids about resilience but lecturing health workers about it seems silly. Doctors had to excel in college, MCAT, med school, USMLEs, residency 80 hr work weeks, boards, work through the pandemic. If >50% are burned out I doubt that resiliency is the problem.
