Day 40 Building the product was just the first battle. Now comes the harder part: scaling it. š Iāve got my first subscribers, but now Iām asking myself: š How do I boost marketing performance? š Whatās the best way to grow the user base faster? Open to tips from anyone š¤
Day 39 This is what it looks like to make your first money from subscriptions. š” After months of work on my app, I finally got my first real subscriber ā $8 MRR. Itās not much, but it feels incredibly rewarding. Now the mission: grow these numbers and scale the user base. š
Day 38: Spent the whole day trying to learn TikTok Ads Managerā¦ still donāt get it. š« Some days it feels like zero progress.
Day 37 Not every day feels like progress. Some days are up, some are down. Thatās normal. What matters is doing somethingāeven a small step.
Day 36: Today I pitched my app idea to a few people to get their honest feedback. š¬ Itās always a bit nerve-wracking to share something youāve been building, but hearing different perspectives is super valuable.
Day 35: Tried running a paid TikTok ad for the app todayā¦ and it got rejected. š Not exactly the result I hoped for, but thatās part of the process. Now I need to tweak the video and resubmitāitāll be interesting to see how it performs once it finally gets approved.
Day 34: Big news todayāI just got 2 new subscribers for OneBible App! It might seem small, but for me itās huge. Every new subscriber is a real person finding value in the app, and that makes all the late nights and challenges worth it.
Day 33: One of the best parts of building apps is that every project teaches me something new. With OneBible, I learned how to publish my first app. With the next project, Iām learning how to think more about users, design, and marketing.
Day 32: I canāt believe Iāve been posting daily updates for over a month now š What started as a small experiment has turned into a journey. Consistency really does compound. š
Day 31: Consistency is starting to pay off. Every day I sit down to build, test, or learn something new even if itās just a small step. Progress doesnāt always feel big in the moment, but looking back at 30+ days, itās clear how much can be achieved when you keep moving forward
Day 30: Today was a really productive day! š While continuing to improve OneBible, Iāve also been working on something new behind the scenesā¦ another app that Iām really excited about. Itās still under wraps for now, but the launch is coming soon. Its gonna be interesting š
Day 29: One thing Iāve learned on this journey: building an app is 20% coding and 80% patience. It takes patience to get downloads. Patience to get that first subscriber. Patience to learn marketing when youāre not a marketer.
Day 27: Today I spent time reflecting on how far the app has come. From launching with 0 users to now seeing downloads, reviews and even the first trial subscribers. It reminds me that progress doesnāt always come fast, but it does come with consistency.
Day 26: After crossing 500+ downloads, I finally got my very first trial subscriber today! It feels like a small step, but definitely a big milestone.
Day 25: OneBible was the first app I ever released, and while building it was a huge milestone, promoting it has been an entirely different challenge. Development comes naturally to me, but marketing is a whole new worldāespecially for developers who donāt have much experience.
Day 24: 2h coding. 3h traveling 1.5h networking Consistency always wins. Stay focused š«”
