Looking for a more open replacement for Promethean ActiveInspire - that can let you make interactive drag and drop exercises AND work on any touch enabled device (bonus points for web based, extra bonus points for any score capture it can do). Unless AI is now free!

So, upgrading @Oracle #MySQL from 5.7 > 8. And the v8 installer will NOT see our 5.7 installation to run an inplace upgrade. Do a logical one, copy old data folder over to new one with new service off, v8 bombs out on starting. Any ideas? #frustrating

Are there any 100% FREE #video #compression #apps for #ios #android? Seeing as @CanvasLms can't handle big videos (yes I know they can change the settings to downgrade the video, but they shouldn't have to - far better to upload a big vid then compress in the cloud like facebook)

Trying to create an on-premise app and publish by @Azure . Admins onsite have the Azure App Proxy setup, but need a guide on the app dev side as to how the username etc is sent #office365 #dev #php

Any good guides on nested SQL? e.g. trying to take data from multiple tables (one for assignment submissions, one for quizzes) and merging rows from all of them based on where clauses and joining to a user table to get a login name for these submitters vs a database ID...

That's twice now that I've joined a @MicrosoftTeams Live event before it has started, and it did NOT refresh when it started. Fortunately having been bitten once, I knew to Leave and rejoin the second time. Microsoft, get it sorted!

So @eventbrite won't let me change the schedule settings from Single to Recurring events because it's published already. Even though noone has booked on yet (Private event so not actually shared to audience yet). Very disappointing

When you ask a tutor to call you, even though you have a VoIP client on the laptop for your desk phone, and they ring you on @MicrosoftTeams without being prompted. Result!

3 biggest things to happen to our IT team. VPN, Google Chrome launch @CanvasLms (finally), and VoIP client on my VPN'd laptop so I don't need to use my mobile to receive calls to my desk phone. From wherever. Winning now!
