Celebrating 4 years married to the love of my life today. Also grieving the one year anniversary of our 4th miscarriage. Nothing prepares you for losing 4 babies, but I thank God every day for the wonderful husband and father who has grieved and grown with me through everything.

It’s so extraordinarily painful to have doctors compliment me for how competent I am. And how successful I am “in spite of” all of my chronic health problems. For once, I want a doctor to look at me and realize that hyper competence is trauma & the result of medical neglect.

Thank you Fr. Also, if mother's day is mentioned in the homily please explicitly state that those who have never been able to hold their babies due to miscarriage or stillbirth are mothers. It doesn't take the pain of empty arms away, but makes the day more bearable.

The more I learn from patients, the more I think there should be a dedicated medical specialty dealing with dysautonomia. We have to look at autonomic nervous system as an interface between organ systems/diseases. So much we don't know! I propose the specialty of "AUTONOMOLOGY".
