My second point with this (besides illustriating how smart Brad is) is that science-based, pay-for-performance treatments are absolutely possible for chronic conditions. The technology already exists. It can be done. We can do better with our healthcare spending. /end
Brad's the brains behind software we wrote that suggests cost-effective treatments for type 2 diabetes. One of the things the software can do is calculate a "fair" price for a drug, based on its performance and the price and performance of every other drug on the market.
