Any other devs feel like #ChatGPT is actually prone to over-engineering now? It's system design is fantastic, but if I want to work with it to create a simple ingest job it'll design something Netflix uses. No, my cat blog does not need to scale to a billion users.

Building my own product with #cursor + agents so far has really shown me their limits. As your codebase scales, you need to be far more targeted with the context you provide. There is definitely a skill to this, it’s not just adding the appropriate files and folders.

As a Canadian, I think this is echoed a lot - but my god are we far too conservative entrepreneurially. We are next to the greatest country in the world for innovation. I can’t name on one hand the number of people I know who building products.

Product idea: Mobile app that lets me edit my codebase through an agent as I’m out of the office. I’m on a walk to get a coffee, and just figured out a solution to a problem I’ve been dealing with, but of course I’ve not got my laptop with me.

I'm switching back to Claude 4.0 Sonnet on #Cursor from ChatGPT 5. Sonnet just "feels" right to me, it understands what I want it and needs much less guidance. GPT5 needs more hand holding, although it is still capable.
