Game designers out there for the love of design hear me when I say you aren’t a “senior designer” if all you can do is copy 1:1 other designs you see in games. Your designs need to be derived from core player motives. So tired of this lazy copycat design mentality. Do better.

Carney has been in office for just a few weeks and it already feels like Canada is becoming a better country. We haven't lost what makes us who we are but we're growing up a bit here - we're taking ourselves more seriously. Nicely done so far Carney.

In a world where it seems almost impossible to get people to agree on anything, I think the one thing we can all agree on is that @EA reeeeally needs to make another Spore. To this day this is one of my all-time favourites for game design. I desperately need a remake of this.

The way these dives are going in the Canada vs Mexico CONCACAF game, I’m convinced the Mexican team could sell water to a fish. These dives go so hard their Olympic team should take notes. Just play the damn game guys. Diving ruins the sport.

Well I'm an hour and a half in and I feel like it's safe to say that the new Assassins Creed Shadows is an absolute BANGER! I love the nods to classic Japanese cinema in there - chefs kiss gang, really well done so far. The story set up is fantastic as well.

MAGA people look up the Smoot-Hawley tariffs of the 30s. Great depression got worse from this policy. Retaliatory trade wars. Factory closures and mass layoffs. Ag exports fell 50%. Unemployment rose from 8% to 25%. All to protect American workers. You are repeating history.

Caught the Mark Carney interview with Rosemary Barton. Carney came off well informed and big on focus for the Canadian economy which we desperately need. Rosemary Barton on the other hand came off weirdly biased against Carney. Barton’s questions felt more like attacks.

Thinking back on when we were in Patagonia. People think the world has been ruined by the fires and mortar of civilization, but not this place. This place you can go and feel like a person again. Where you can feel whole again. Go before the shitty billionaires ruin it.
