Going through a bit of a code restructure with #pico8 #brucelee. Necessary unfortunately but will be worth it in the long-run. Debugging hitboxes is pretty useful to check everything is working as expected. Hopefully only an hour or so left of rewriting. #gamedev #c64 #atari

Randomly spawned traffic. I've had to limit it to 12 active NPC cars max, as I don't have enough CPU left after rendering for more. But it seems enough to make it feel busy. #pico8

Used #PICO8 to mock up an idea I've had for a long time, called Sword Surfer, where you would play as a girl who surfs on a sword and slices and dices surfing ninjas and laser sharks and avoids sea mines to save the day at the beach. #pixelart #gamedev

@FSouchu There's already a lerp, but it's lerping an offset from the car rather than a world camera position. Lerping the camera in world-space tends to make the car flicker. With some experimentation though, a lerp value of 0.5 actually looks pretty good! Thanks!
