I am bored af Haven’t coded for 1+ month now 👀 Someone tell me how to get back I have 0 motivation fr lol
@fabcodingzest Maybe get back to a bit of UI/UX design, that might strike motivation to build something
@fabcodingzest omg.. same. Long term goals are so hard to visualise right now and I'm having similar starting trouble. Gamifying things kind of helps me gain some momentum. If I don't have genuine interest, it doesn't last of course.
@fabcodingzest If you need motivation then dont do it
@fabcodingzest Don't eat your next meal w/o coding an hour 😬 Go hard or go ...
@fabcodingzest Try to match your level of challenges (coding challenge) with your level of skill. I think either you are to bore to work or to overwhelmed and now anxious. Try to find projects that match your skill level. BTW this is flow graph.
@fabcodingzest Start now. Even if it's just a few minutes. Now is the best time. Also dont worry about the time you missed. Its okay!
@fabcodingzest Then stop! Take a break and relax. There's nothing wrong. Just be confident that the inspiration will come and you'll be back to code. P.s. if you're just feeling alone or overwhelmed then speak with someone and open up
@fabcodingzest 1. I assume you dont have any IDEA 2. Do travelling 3. Do delicious cooking 4. Read a book about Sales, Marketing... 5. Do a marketing! Tell people what you do, what your product/project. Sell it!
@fabcodingzest Watch Halt and Catch Fire on Netlix. I promise it will bring back some interest and motivation for programming!
@fabcodingzest Coding is a long journey, lots of time we end up taking that beak and its okay, usually I pick up small past project of my own and start reading code, helps me remember all my time and effort. Be light on yourself as much as you can. Give yourself time to comeback in happy way
@fabcodingzest Had similar experiences, what helped me was working on a project with friends. Try visiting fellow devs at meetups and channels and work on a project together. Don't just pick any project, find something very easy and fun and be aware of the endpoint of the project.
@fabcodingzest Try going to a hackathon or make a quick project with someone
@fabcodingzest The local build hackathon by mlh that is going on, Is a great way to boost motivation.
@fabcodingzest You don't need motivation You need to have a goal and a strategy then excute, just do it, ignore the feeling, how we feel can play us.
