Sharp increases in costs of land, labor, materials + interest rates, have eaten away at the 7 yr old Empire State Supportive Housing Initiative (ESSHI) rate. The state needs to increase the per unit ESSHI rate to meet needs of today.@NYSenate @NYSA_Majority @theNetworkNY
As we get closer to budget season it's more important than ever to have a #BHEARD oversight hearing. Any expansion funding must be contingent on improved program outcomes & teams led by peers with lived experience.
Prior #BHEARD program data continues to be replaced making it impossible for New Yorkers to track program trends. This is an oversight issue. We need your help. @CMLindaLee and @KamillahMHanks please call for a joint oversight hearing now!

…the data are clear & there are some fundamental changes that need to be made…B-HEARD must be made citywide, but not without some big changes…it must run 24/7, just as every other response system in #NYC . Read the full article below for more! nydailynews.com/opinion/ny-ope…

Mental health is health, and mental health emergencies deserve to be treated like healthcare emergencies. New York can do that by funding the Daniel’s Law Pilot Program & Task Force in this year’s budget.
