@JanissaryGuard @bertjanze @LebowskySenor @GrandMufti123 @_____10clarke97 @MaajidNawaz There are sections of society in other countries where it is de facto law to wear niqab. How sharia is enforced can vary locally within countries and communities. Do you believe all women choose freely to wear it in western countries or are they "encouraged" to wear it?
@JanissaryGuard @oppatunist There’s nothing wrong with forcing women to turn themselves visually into shadows? To tell them their face, body and hair cannot be seen? That they must be unrecognisable shapes while men walk around freely as seen individuals? That’s just a bunch of bullshit.
@JanissaryGuard @huminous Do you think women should be allowed to wear what they want even if it goes against tradition and the 'dress code'?
@JanissaryGuard @oppatunist In a controlling cultural context, that is indistinguishable from forcing people. And more specifically, it is women that are more coerced, more pressured, more often forced where men are left free to choose. You show by your responses just how misogynistic Islam can be.
