As much as I appreciate the groundswell of support over the last 24hrs re my axing from @SbsSport, it’s not about throwing shade on anyone who remains on the broadcast team. It’s not ok to abuse them online. Please stay focussed on who is actually responsible for the decision. 🙏🏼

@BenjiNaesen I do watch a lot more mens cycling and the reason it is often ‘more entertaining’ - they show the whole race, they often have multiple cameras in pelo/break - they have stats and rider names on the screen - and in depth commentary

Maybe something to think about. Why don’t they give a mountainjersey based on the fastest climbing times. Still keep the regular point system but the 10 highest climbs count towards a secondary classification based only on your time.
6 years ago, I thought the sport of cycling was doomed, with increasingly calculating and predictable tactics. This new generation of riders just want to race their bikes, and have so much talent they can make unpredictable attacks stick. It's a great time to be a cycling fan.
