There were some suspicious refereeing decisions in yesterday's U19 friendly match between North Macedonia and Bosnia. In the 91st minute the referee awarded a free kick and then a penalty for no obvious reason. Some crazy match footage here: youtu.be/K8dDHvq9zWw?t=…
It is now being reported that a total of 27 players have been sanctioned because of this match. At least 12 players from Nazilli Belediyespor were given bans, ranging from eight months to one year.

In Turkey, the FA is investigating the 2 Lig match between Ankaraspor and Nazilli Belediyespor on 28 Apr 2024 for match-fixing. The match finished 0-0 and, reportedly, there were zero shots on goal. Many players and staff from both clubs are accused of betting on the match.
Bulgarian tennis player Simon Ivanov has been given a five-year ban for corruption offences. Ivanov was found to have bet a total of almost €200,000 on tennis matches and then failed to co-operate with the ITIA's investigation.
In England, it is being reported that Swedish police previously provided the FA with evidence of match-fixing by Premier League players. Evidence of players manipulating the match winner, yellow cards, and corners markets was found in police raids on underground casinos in 2021.
In Turkey, the FA is investigating the 2 Lig match between Ankaraspor and Nazilli Belediyespor on 28 Apr 2024 for match-fixing. The match finished 0-0 and, reportedly, there were zero shots on goal. Many players and staff from both clubs are accused of betting on the match.
It is being reported that NBA player Malik Beasley is no longer under investigation for betting offences and can resume his career.
Two tennis umpires have been given heavy sanctions for fixing matches by entering false score data. Italian Francesco Totaro was given a lifetime ban, Murod Abdurakhimov from Uzbekistan was banned for 20 years.
In Singapore, nine people have been arrested for organising match-fixing in the country's national basketball league. One of the fixed matches was the Aug 1 Tagawa v Tong Whye match.
It looks like two of these suspicious matches were the Osters U21 games against Varnamo U21 (22 Jul) and Halmstadts U21 (29 Jul). Osters U21 lost 2-0 on both occasions.

In Sweden, media reports say that several matches from this year’s U21 Allsvenskan have been fixed. There were at least three suspicious matches in July alone.

In Germany, two former coaches from VfL Osnabruck are being investigated for "unsportsmanlike conduct". The investigation relates to the 2-4 loss in the state cup final to BW Lohne on 24 May. The club fired the coaches days after this unexpected defeat to a lower league team.
