If @SpeakerJohnson is really worried about “greater deterrence for good people to run for Congress,” he should raise member pay. Which has been frozen since 2009. Hundreds, if not thousands, of staff now make more than their bosses. Raise pay, eliminate stock deals.

All I’ll say is I’m glad the Greens are ending their co-leader schtick. Political parties need a single leader that can gain recognition among the electorate. I’ve always thought parties (mainly Green parties!) with two leaders are doing a weird gimmick with little gain.
