I haven’t flown in 2024 yet because of the horrendous weather we’ve had here in Scotland - and I have very itchy wings 😩
First book of 2024 finished and what a read. It’s clear Capt. Mike Bannister loved his aircraft and fought tooth and nail to keep her in the air. Something the UK and France can be proud of to have achieved together 🇬🇧🇫🇷

25 July 2000. Air France Flight 4590 Concorde F-BTSC caught fire after takeoff and crashed at Gonesse, France, killing all 100 passengers, nine crew and four people on the ground. The cause was debris left on the runway by a Continental Airlines McDonnell Douglas DC-10-30.
