Hey guys! We haven't "interacted" in a while, so why don't we all share our favorite pieces of concert band music?:)
My favorite famous musicians I have met are David Maslanka, the Canadian Brass, and Vic Firth :) I will meet Gary Burton one day!! I hope :p
Don't laugh at ppl with bad technique. Politely help themfix it. Practicing bad technique at a young age can lead to an irreparable problem.
If you have school pride, it doesn't mean you think you're the best. It just means you're proud of your school family and traditions :)
I hate front ensembles that don't get into the music. You are the only section in marching band that can be expressive with your bodies.
I love Burton grip for Vibraphone. It produces a fuller sound than all the other ones.
You know what sucks about playing marimba AND vibes? You get blisters on your middle, and index fingers. 2x's more than other percussionists
There's always that one asshole in percussion who like to run his mouth and start shit with other percussionists. #JustStop
Does anything in the band room ever break and the first section the directors accuse is the percussion section? #PercussionCons

Playing at the Chicago Midwest clinic was amazing!! Chicago was fun! Now I'm at a Chicago bulls game!
1 more day and I'm off to Chicago for the Midwest clinic!
