Guaranteed that the costs of these allegedly stolen goods was utterly miniscule compared to the costs of criminalization - including policing, courts, custody or community sentence, & the catastrophic impacts on employment, housing, education, etc. Policing is a total racket.

We are a research cluster based in Indigenous Studies @umanitoba and we research at the intersections of food, security, and surveillance. We have lots of research in progress (on issues related to privacy, food access, and food theft) that we will be sharing soon!
