@mnhocktweets Realistically, I think a new edition of Effective Java will come at the end of 2025. Note that the first three editions were published 2001, 2008, and 2017, so I suppose 2025 would be right on schedule for the fourth.

An under appreciated fact (slightly exaggerated in article below): With current move to @OpenAI Triton, PyTorch 2.0 makes Nvidia software moat a bit weaker. AMD & Intel are working to support Triton, easier than reinventing whole CUDA / Bias stack. semianalysis.com/p/nvidiaopenai…
