Thunderstorm winds can lift dust clouds reducing visibility to near zero in seconds. If thunderstorms are nearby, be prepared! If you're outdoors and a storm appears, seek shelter immediately. If you’re caught without shelter, avoid high ground, water, and tall isolated trees.
🐾 ⚡ Pets are curious, and sometimes that curiosity leads them too close to cords or outlets. Keep tails wagging and whiskers twitching by securing loose wires and using outlet covers. A little prevention goes a long way toward pet safety!

Battery energy storage systems are devices that store energy from renewable sources, such as solar and wind. Then, reserved energy can be released quickly during times of peak demand, strengthening transmission while keeping costs down and electricity flowing!
When a storm appears, seek shelter immediately. If a structure is unavailable, a car with a metal roof may be your best option. Do not drive! Park your vehicle off the roadway and as far to the right as possible.
Keeping your local power grid reliable means periodic maintenance and repairs to improve it. Occasionally, your co-op shuts off power in affected work areas. Scheduled outages are typically short and help ensure a crew’s safety. They’ll always give you advanced notice. @NRECANews
