At this point it makes no difference. Any foreign country with hostile intentions has already flooded us with stay-behind agents. As a nation we can no longer be sure of our internal security for (at least) the next 20 years. She keeps referring to how they've constantly asked Congress to support more "modern, effective" methods to control the border" (which is the first outright lie because she has stood at that podium for years saying the border is absolutely, 100% secure...). But now that even Democrat mayors and governors have chimed in about the issue (thank you, @GovAbbott - your "sharing the illegals" strategy worked!) this administration has been forced to change its tune. Now they are frantically scrambling to find any talking points at all to save face (after all, there's an election coming up!) and now say "we kept asking for more effective, modern solutions but Republicans blocked it." (Why do none of the press ask about specifics on that?) What exactly did you ask for, Karine? What "technology" would control immigrants from walking across open borders? You gonna put shock collars on them to match the cartel bracelets they are wearing? She mentioned land ports of entry....we already have land ports of entry, idiot - illegal immigrants avoid them! (duh) To be clear - the border walls are intended to corral the immigrants to the land ports of entry! In terms of technology asks - what were they? Who did they ask? Didn't they come up with the "brilliant" app that allowed immigrants to apply for entry/asylum on line - where they were given a free cell phone when they came across and then released into the US to be sure to show up 4 years from now for their hearings? Here's an idea - How about adding some budget to add manpower to actually vet the immigrants and their qualification for asylum BEFORE you release them into our country? You reversed the remain in Mexico policy. Your catch & release policy was like a batman beacon to the world to "come on over"!!! Another idea - reinstate the remain in Mexico law...go to the corrupt Mexican government and let them know we're coming down hard on the cartels - with military troops! Right now - as we speak - Mexico is bussing everyone who has come across their southern border to the Mexico/US border....It's outrageous. Why haven't we gone to Mexico - just as Trump did - and let them know we're not letting them in! If Mexico lets them in - that's where they're going to stay until the legally apply for entry to the US. These people are a bunch of lying clowns who have no idea what they're doing.
