I'm thinking how handy it would be for authors running book ads on Amazon (for books not in ku) to have some visibility of the page depth (if any) of samples read after clicks. Amazon does have this data. It would help in weighing up whether matter at the front needs trimming.

I witnessed scary hallucinations today by the AI which underlies Amazon's kdp book ads. I changed a bid adjust setting from 15% down to zero %. It reported that: Example: A €1.00 bid will be €100.00 for this placement. For different percentages the numbers got madder.

As I work through edits and rewriting ideas I search the word I've captured in the whole text. If in that exercise I discover too many incidences of a favored word - I rewrite most of them until I find what I was originally looking for.
