There goes the penny. Born in 1792. Solid copper. By 1982, it was mostly cheap zinc with a copper coat. By 2025, it cost nearly 4¢ to mint each one… so the U.S. quietly pulled the plug. But as the penny dies, copper is exploding in value. 🚀

Why do coins have ridged edges? Did you know it’s to stop coin shaving - a centuries-old scam where people sliced silver (or gold) off the edges? Ridges made it obvious if a coin was tampered with. Early anti-counterfeit tech. Still used today. #SilverStacking #StackSmart
