We shared earlier this year about work to better show helpful content that can often live in unexpected places: blog.google/products/searc… This work is still continuing and is not part of this particular update. We’ll share more about our work in this area in the future.
@googlesearchc This update promoted very large & old websites that have had articles that have had 8 to 10 years to get links, social posts, etc. Take for example "best hotels in Miami". The top articles give all the expensive hotels! Is expensive best? No. But Google clearly thinks so.
