We found a bug with how our Oct. 2023 core update was applied to Discover, which has now been corrected. Some sites may see an increase in Discover-related traffic, as a result. Start and end time for this issue is now on the Search Status Dashboard: status.search.google.com/incidents/fCUA…

@googlesearchc There are hundreds of forum posts at search central community about issues in the SERPs where pages completely and mysteriously vanished. High-quality pages with custom images, etc. that have ranked at the top for years. Feels like a similar bug - hopefully being addressed.

@googlesearchc Google go and check there are sites ranking without meta data, site names, or (E-A-T). It appears that some valuable sites have disappeared from search results. It would be great if the search engine could consider reversing this update or introducing a new one to solve this
