Today we announced the March 2024 core update & new spam policies that, in combination, are designed to show less content made to attract clicks and more content that people find useful. Learn more: developers.google.com/search/blog/20…
As part of our news, we’ve also shared that we now use a variety of innovative signals and approaches rather than a single system to identify helpful content. We’ve added a new FAQ page to help explain this change: developers.google.com/search/help/he…
@googlesearchc Will this impact the top 1% of domains that just built crappy content farms to steal traffic from worthy, small, quality creators?
@googlesearchc Is it too late to carry out a SEO heist?
@googlesearchc Great changes in principle! Well done! 👍 There is way too much spam these days 😔 Hopefully this impacts spam content like @clickup who write about bitcoin casino and porn 👇

@googlesearchc Toda vez que vocês falam isso, fodem ainda mais os sites sérios e ajudam os que copiam conteúdo.
@googlesearchc So what this means? No more AI generated blog posts? 🤭
@googlesearchc 1000% lies. all parassties and zombies parasites rankin high somoe pages even 20 1st spots are parasits w NO FOOKIN CONTENT
@googlesearchc will this encourage recipe sites to show the recipes instead of a novel about their grandma and 100+ ads?
Serious Question - Will anyone be investigating Google for investing over $60 million into Reddit? How convenient that these latest algorithm updates have skyrocketed Reddit’s traffic/revenue, while destroying smaller sites with content that is actually helpful. And right on queue Reddit is going public. How is this legal?
@googlesearchc I expect this to take my serp traffic to zero lol
@googlesearchc It will take a month to fully rollout, but you can expect to see @Reddit get a nice boost just in time for their IPO
@googlesearchc wow, another episode of loss of traffic!!!
@googlesearchc Good for Reddit, terrible for anyone trying to make a living by providing actual helpful content
@googlesearchc What are the chances that good, honest websites decimated by the last Google updates actually get a positive turn around from this one? Asking for a friend..
@googlesearchc In other words, what @searchliaison is saying is that small sites with no huge investments are screwed..
@dannysullivan I was very excited about the core update because it promised that good content would be rewarded. But exactly the opposite happened. It is again the small local sites that are facing ruin. I have lost 80 percent of my traffic even though I provide information that is handmade. The big publishers relax and continue to be rewarded by Google. Is that the company philosophy? Stop this core update!
@googlesearchc Not to be outdone by the Facebook outage Google wants in on the convo lol
@googlesearchc Google, your helpful content FAQs are not really ‘Helpful’. There isn’t nearly enough detail.
@googlesearchc What's wrong with you Google? My traffic has dropped to zero. although our content is helpful and informative. Will the small publishers actually be crushed so that the big publishers pay more money? Is this the new algorithm?
@googlesearchc Google making traffic disappear bc why not? 😭
@googlesearchc I hope these updates won't affect the small websites that are victims of its spam. 🤔
@googlesearchc Stop please, you are destroying very good sites...
@googlesearchc Hmm. I create useful content, but you push it way down the SERPs. And you put short articles with little depth or detail in the featured snippet spot. Doesn't that prove that your update doesn't actually work? Would you like me to provide examples to prove my point?
@googlesearchc I wonder why newspapers rank better than any website specialized in your specific topic. I thought that authority had less value than content, but it seems not. Maybe it's the amount of traffic.
@googlesearchc Now appending "reddit" to queries is no longer necessary lmao.
@googlesearchc Bro, don’t try this😭. Don’t take me back to village🙏
@googlesearchc Official translation from @searchliaison: Here's more decade-old Reddit opinions from anonymous sources about outdated topics that you don't care about...and some more spam.
@googlesearchc Fellow bloggers, may the odds be ever in your favor.
@googlesearchc @searchliaison why are you not allowing others to use AI at scale to rank for content when Google does the same thing with every single search happening on the platform?
@googlesearchc @searchliaison Why don’t you remove this SEO SPAM farm you’ve allowed to run on your own cloud hosting? I’ve spelled it all out for you here. Are there actual humans at Google?

@googlesearchc Good to know Google values human content more than spam AI garbage
@googlesearchc nice. this will kill the rest of the niche blogs that were not affected by the hcu. when they reach the level of 100% big media I the top 10 results, I guess this will be level 100% helpful :)
