fuck it: hey everyone, I'm still alive and just went through the worst depressive episode of my life. what got me back on track? both grandfathers died. no, I'm not sorry. I am relieved. they deserved it. hopefully, a few of my old moots are still around. to a better future 🥂

damn… awful news and it really puts your own problems into perspective. life can change so quickly and it is impossible to plan for everything. I'm hoping for his recovery of course and will take this as a grim reminder to never put off happiness for later.

never ever do I want to be so out of shape again that a few flights of stairs have me grasping for breath… watching others struggle like I did a decade ago was the workout motivation I needed today. nothing extreme but a bit of cardio goes such a long way.

it is truly eye opening to come back to work after a few days off and notice just how miserable it makes me… sounds bad but I am actually glad to have such a definitive reason. something that is in my control and that I can change - not just "bad brain chemistry".
