We cannot fix the housing crisis by handing our communities over to Wall Street investors. Data shows rents rising faster in London boroughs with lots of expensive "Build-to-Let" developments. We must build an alternative to corporate profiteers: public homes and rent control.

Working people who actually contribute to our society pay NI. It's outrageous that landlords don't have to pay this tax on their unearned income. But unless we have rent controls as well, landlords will try to push these costs onto tenants through massive rent hikes.
