I suppose a second tweet is needed: Lynx? Solitary, ambush hunters, territorial, at low density. Rarely 'mass kill', avoiding open ground. Found in areas > 50% forest. Wolf? Social, pursuit hunters, can live at high densities, will 'mass kill' & use open ground without qualms. /2

Not hard to see why beef herd is in continual decline and beef price escalating 1st day of 8 bTB testing here, this group 1 mile across crops and roads, segregating,risk of failing test,every 6m or less,huge cost,no reward,lost performance+calving delayed to avoid testing calves
