Our #CMHinSchools featured artefact today is a sweater worn by a player on the Preston Rivulettes women's hockey team in 1937-1938. Thousands of fans paid to see women’s teams play hockey in the 1930s before the teams all but disappeared during the Second World War. 🏒@HCDSB

Today's featured artefact from our @CanMusHistory box is a chatelaine, a sort of Victorian Era Swiss Army knife, with several small tools that women would use on a daily basis. Chatelaines were decorative yet functional, often containing a pouch to hold small items. #CMHInSchools
A ceinture fléchée, a colourful finger-woven sash, worn by French-Canadians & some Indigenous peoples since the early 1800s, was more than a piece of clothing - it was also used to help carry heavy loads, keep a coat fastened in the winter, or even bandage a wound. #CMHinSchools
Today's featured artefact is very dear to my heart: the prototype t-shirt for the iconic "Map of Canada" shirts Terry Fox often wore during the Marathon of Hope, in his quest to cross the country in support of cancer research. #CMHinSchools @StGregoryHCDSB @HCDSB @TerryFoxCanada
Can you guess what today's featured artefact is - or its purpose? Here's a hint: the item is carved out of walrus ivory, and was found in an early Inuit house on Baffin Island (Nunavut). #CMHinSchools #HistoryComesAlive @CanMusHistory #TheStGregoryWay @StGregoryHCDSB @HCDSB
