Some exciting new titles for #CodeRead
S1 have been busy reading their #coderead books looking for inspiration for their computer games. Today we started brainstorming potential ideas whilst developing our coding skills - all coming together nicely! @stninianshigh @StNiniansLib @DigiSchoolsERC @stacshq @flackboy
Our #CodeRead project encouraging pupils to read fiction and create computer games based on the characters and themes is well underway. 3 pupils are on to their third book after only two weeks- I am blown away by their commitment! @StNiniansComp

Our collaborative project with @StNiniansComp just gets better and better. Many pupils have finished their first book (in one week!!) and have started to work on how they will turn it into a playable game. I am so impressed by all involved. #CodeRead #SLIF @SLIC1991
It was great to be able to launch our #CodeRead project during #CyberScotlandWeek2025 where S1 pupils choose fantastic fiction with digital themes and then create their own computer games based on their books. All thanks to @SLIC1991 @scotgov and supported by @StNiniansComp
A great start to #codeRead today with S1 pupils spending the beginning of the period reading books with a technology theme. They will then use their books to come up with a creative computer game. Can’t wait to see what they come up with! @stninianshigh @StNiniansLib @stacshq
