Afàka script, is invented in 1900 by the Edebukuman (the “man who knows how to write”) Afàka Atumisi in Surinam. The apparition of the Halley comet in 1908 made him decide to spread the script in the community. The comet has its own glyph in the writing system! #TheMissingScripts
