لاماهای طاس خیابان‌های کج‌و‌معوج و باریکِ تاتسین‌لو را پر کرده بودند که من قصد دارم کودکان را بربایم و از چشمانشان معجونی برای سیرکردن شکم کُداکم مهیا کنم.
سوای آنکه هگل و افکارش را بپسندید یا خیر، خواندن او و سعی در فهم‌اش، شبیه به یک‌جور بدنسازی است برای عضلات مغز. بعد از خواندن هگل، به طرز عجیبی خواندن سایر متون فلسفی راحت‌تر می‌شود.

حقیقتا ما چیستیم جز عاملیت‌مان؟
هوش‌مصنوعیِ آزاردهنده! غالبا به این فکر می‌کنم که حضور بی‌چون‌و‌چرا و روزافزون‌اش در زندگی بشر، نهایتا منجر به یک انفعالِ ترسناک شده و عاملیت انسان را رفته‌رفته از او می‌ستاند. در نقطه عطف این حضورِ یقینا مزاحم، گسستگی در روحِ زمانه اجتناب‌ناپذیر و بسیار دردناک خواهد بود.

کتابی بسیار غنی و دربرگیرندهٔ کلیات زیبایی‌شناسی هگل، اما متاسفانه ترجمه پر از اشتباه است و حتی گاها از متن اصلی مقداری را حذف می‌کند. (البته که نوبت اول چاپ)
