If I had to go back to my IRS job or confront a bear in the woods....I'd choose the bear.
I'm half Canadian on my Mom's side, so I says "I'm sorry" a lot. OMG imagine that kind of personality as an IRS agent. "I'm sorry I have to take your money" "I'm sorry you have to give me all these documents" "I'm sorry your deduction for Playboy magazine is disallowed."
The IRS needs to focus on fixing its correspondence and notice system. This system is broken. Daniel Werfel needs to stop prancing around DC and bragging about the fact the IRS is going to start auditing more tax payers and instead he needs to fix the broken correspondence…
