An interesting thing I’m reckoning with in returning to Taiwan, as a child of Taiwanese immigrants who left Taiwan in the mid-80s, is that much of the knowledge, feelings, & vocab my parents & grandparents passed to me are kind of frozen in time as a time capsule of 1980s Taiwan

i love how in the traditional characters 寶 contains 貝 in its lower half. it also contains 王, which means king. and the whole character feels safely contained underneath the roof radical, 宀 i love how characters are like houses. housing meaning & music

This week we did our first PMEG for an Aortic Arch Aneurysm. Zone zero. With the help and guidance of our friend @andrebrq. We still have a lot to learn but it was definitely different than opening the sternum for a total debranching. @_JP_Carvalho_ and Prof N De Luccia.
