I finally understand that Vance’s total lack of charisma and self-awareness is a feature and not a bug. His Patrons never have to be concerned about him “going rogue”—he cannot. It is obvious he lacks the ability to rule—he doesn’t have the instinct. Consider his ‘default’ is “being grateful” and saying “pwease,” and that is all the more apparent when you realize the man disparaging is fighting for the survival & autonomy of him and his people? JD’s default mode of existence is groveling.

@hyperlambda Most disturbing thing is that his one fixed lodestar appears to be some strange affinity towards Russia. Everything else is opportunistic, which is normal and OK for a politician. But that one and only thing seems to be a real conviction, which is hard to explain.
@hyperlambda I sensed this since the JRE interview when I was trying to understand his moral character. He’s fundamentally a people-pleaser who wants everyone to like him — not to rule, or to guide, but just to be approved of.
@hyperlambda He's more loyal than your avg pol. May not have enough thymos to be president. But I still like him for all of that. Good story, creative politically, quality disdain for the lib.
@hyperlambda Of course. Just Dance makes Mike Pence look like a young JFK.
@hyperlambda The starry part about Vance is that he's MOST loyal to Theil, and is full on on Yarvin ideology. By time he takes power, charisma won't be needed because the pitus seat will already yield complete dictatorial power. And Theil, Musk, Yarvin, Miller, Project2025, etc control it all
