This completely overlooks the many cultural cuisines that have a unique history in the US bc of DC— Afghan restaurants have been a staple of the DC food culture & a long-standing history that should be applauded. Sweeping generalizations like this miss out on all those cuisines

Some myths to dispel on Panjshir/Resistance 1. The resistance is not the “Northern Alliance”. This term was applied by the west to an alliance created by different commanders in the north-east and north-west of Afghanistan in the 90s. The resistance today is different.
