After 2 years of negotiating an agreement it was apparent that scientific evidence is not enough. How you communicate the evidence is very important.

You must engage citizens, especially when the issues are counter -factual amidst #DeepUncertainty

Even if science is unable to provide evidence, we must prepare for disasters.

We need to learn to convince policymakers to invest in DRM for things that might happen, and might not necessarily happen, and if you prevent them from happening, you may not have proof that it would have happened.

Scientists should not only provide evidence on hazards, especially when there’s #DeepUncertainty, but should provide evidence on how we can reduce vulnerability of people.
