I really wish the #golang devs would have called Go interfaces “contracts” instead. They are much more akin to SmallTalk’s idea of contracts than they are to Java/C# interfaces, which i think causes a lot of unnecessary pain and confusion to new Go devs.

This is one of the craziest ideas I've ever seen. He converted a drawing of a bird into a spectrogram (PNG -> Soundwave) then played it to a Starling who sung it back reproducing the PNG. Using the birds brain as a hard drive with 2mbps read write speed. youtube.com/watch?si=HMtVd…

i cant help but wonder whether this visa/mastercard porn game fiasco will push normalization of crypto payments forward? There’s still the issue of US capital gains tax hindering progress in this regard, but will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Even though Linux is used extensively in VFX and I've used it daily for years, it's still terrible for 3D: It's missing Photoshop, Substance Painter and ZBrush, and loads more. The annoyances of Windows or Mac are tiny compared to the disadvantages of Linux for creatives.

man… im tired of these “beautiful graphics” korean MMOs. I miss the 2D and low poly stylistic MMOs of the early 2000s. ROSE Online, Lineage, Ragnarok Online, etc etc. They had sooooo much more character than the same-y looking korean MMOs of today.

The fascinating thing about Stop Killing Games to me is that proponents insist so heavily that its just meant to start a discussion, but they are so utterly unwilling to have a discussion or even listen to people on the other side. The hypocrisy is palpable, man.

Hey #MMORPG aficionados! Do you think 3D is a requirement these days for MMOs or do you feel that there is room for a classic, 2D MMO? Way back, games like Graal Online, Maple Story, etc. had a stranglehold on the fledgling MMO genre. Is there still room in the market for retro?
