I've spent decades in tech. Seen many fads come and go. AI doesn't act like one of those but it has features that argue that it can't be sustained. High cost and hallucination are both problems for the long term business case. I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

I was reading a bit ago about AGI. With current tech, it's wildly expensive. Isn't employing an actual human cheaper? Or are humans too hard to control to be considered "safe"? Just thinking out loud.
