I asked for a pay rise as an NHS Assistant Psychologist and was told there was no funding😔 So I applied for a different NHS job and increased my pay by 5 figures (2 pay bands)💁🏻‍♀️

Had a day off today for my driving test. Failed second time due to not being able to fix a manoeuvre. I panicked. Back to work tomorrow! It's assessment week and my second week of my new role.

Here’s another face of the current barriers in accessing clinical psychology: if you did not achieve *once* at age 18-20, possibly due to systemic disadvantage, that’s it. You’re done. Even if you went on to do a PhD. We *must* do better, @psychmag @BPSOfficial @UKDCP. #dclinpsy

This day last year was a real low point for me but a year later I’ve found out I’ve achieved 88% in my masters dissertation meaning my overall masters grade is 88%!! After five years of hard work I’m graduating with a FIRST CLASS HONOURS DEGREE IN MPSYCH CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY🥺👩🏼‍🎓
